After 40 yrs. homesteading on Hoodoo mountain, in northern Idaho, we’ve been asked time and time again to share our life experiences with those just getting started.

After researching other “Homesteading” sites, I realized our sight will be out of the norm. My heart said: We want to just share our story and life over these past 40 years. In doing so, we are hopeful others will be encouraged to “DO LIFE TOGETHER” no matter the circumstances, or trials that may raise their ugly heads. We have learned the value of sharing not only our many joys and accomplishments, but our sorrows and challenges as well; which in turn have made us the folks we are today.

Some may be asking their selves what the G+B+M Creations lettering on the large saw blade stands for, when our site header is listed as Hoodoomtnhomesteading.com. The letter “G” stands for God/Savior: we are believers in Jesus Christ as our Lord God and Savior. The “B” and “M” stand for nicknames my husband and I received at birth. Ted received his nickname from his father upon returning from the 2nd World War and it was his first time seeing his new born son. All he could say was: “Oh, my little Bobo!” as he lifted him up in the air from the crib. As for myself, the letter “M” stands for Moe. I was the 4th child born of 6. My father had told Mom there was to be “NO Moe!!” (Eeny, Meeny, Miny, “NO Moe”).

The “Creations” stands for all the different endeavors we’ve had over all these years: Ted was a builder/contractor (GBM Construction); GBM Handmade Crafts; GBM Deer Reserve; dog rescues; registered animals (GBM Creations goats, rabbits, etc).
